Now, don't get us wrong. We've laughed at the brilliant characterizations over the years of Flip Wilson, Martin Lawrence, Jamie Foxx, Eddie Murphy, Tyler Perry (and a host of other comedians) as they've portrayed varying degrees of black womanhood to often gut-wrenching comedic effect.

Over the strains of "It's Raining Men" by The Weather Girls, an announcer introduces the public access program "Men on Films". Hosts Blaine Edwards and Antoine Merriweather introduce themselves and explain that they will be discussing films of the day "from a male point of view".
The cast of the popular 90's sketch comedy show, "In Living Color" received the Groundbreaking Award last year at the TV Land Awards.
"In Living Color" was created by Keean Ivory Wayans and included his family (Shawn, Kim, and Marlon) as well as three unknown comedians at the time. Jim Carrey, David Alan Grier and Jamie Foxx.
